Water tablets
Hi I used to take those tablets for water retention. I think constipation is one of the common side effects. Try to eat more fruit and veg. Have a look at the leaflet that comes with the tablets that will tell you the side effects you may get.
I took those tablets for a few days, but had some of the side effect and so stopped them. Drink more fluids and keep your system flushed to help with the constipation and water retention (unless you have kidney problems) as the fluid in your body is linked to salts and waste products, and gathers in the feet because of gravity among other factors.
Hi Alice, I have been on these for years with no ill effects, they were prescribed for high blood pressure and take them in the morning in the hope that it stops me getting up and down for a wee all night, it doesnt ha! It also depletes your potassium so treat to eat bananas. I can say it hasnt done much for my bp either, but they use it as a first line in medication for this problem x
One of those medications that no-one can pronounce, even paramedics and the staff at the chemist. I was written up for these a couple of year ago to go in tandem with a low dose of blood pressure tablet. they work well. Yes , pee a lot, day and night, and constipation too.Polly x
I have been on Bendro tablets for about 3 years now and no side effects whatsoever. Really does make you pee a lot though lol.
