My owner takes me for a walk
Down the road each day
I stop at all the gate-posts
At some a while I’ll stay
I’m picking up my s-mail
Which friends have left for me
We dogs don’t have computers
Like humans do you see
Now this one here’s from Rover
He hasn’t been too well
But now he’s feeling better
By sniffing I can tell
And so I carry on reading
About all these doggie things
And humans just don’t understand
The pleasure that it brings.

💞🐕🐾🐾Morning Mr.D and loving your poem very much. Our dog Hazel loves to put her very sensitive and clever nose to good use too and loves nothing better than stopping at every conceivable smell for at least a few mins,which means a walk can take 30 mins just to get 300 yards up the field!

Lovely, that is the joy of walking a dog is it not. What used to amuse me, was that I was expected to stand around and not mind, when they found a smell. However if I found someone to talk to, they just barked and tried to pull me on.
My dogs are proper sniffers 🐶🐶xx
