I'm the same just no air here at all .

Luckily I bought a fan the other day it's helping a bit but not much today.

Just read they are not a lot of good when its so hot as they just blow the hot air around but if you have it on to try place it further away from yourself.

Well whether it's blowing the hot air around or not it's an improvement to when it's. Not on.

Also read they are not good for people with any chest complaints as they just blow particles of dust around so advised not to use them.

Well its going to have to stay on as I'm not coping in this heat .

Makes you so tired too but sleep will be difficult tonight .

Hope you get some sleep 💕X

ejbid,i think you will find that quite a few people out there are struggling to a certain degree, even those that have healthy lungs and don't forget they haven't been subjected to the rigours of a lung transplant.stay best friends with your new pal and try to keep as hydrated and cool as possible which will help as rumour has it from the met office that respite will be here by the weekend with cooler less humid conditions.wishing you more comfortable times soon.

Ski's and Scruff's x

Looked up air conditioners on Amazon. The proper ones are hundreds of pounds but there are cheaper ones that look like a lot of faff. You have to fill them with iced water and their batteries have to be charged frequently. Just ordered bog standard fan, me. Thought it might provoke Thor (“Nah-nah-ne-na-nah!”) into cooling down a bit.

I do sympathise.....I have had two fans going....one new fangled one and one old style, and it still feels as if I am trying to breathe treacle !

Been sitting in the garden at four this morning where it was a bit cooler.

Take care now .

Keep the fan going ejbid and try a cold wet flannel to help cool you down, it has been a very hot few days and things are set to cool down, thank goodness, make sure you have plenty of water. Hope you feel a little better soon x

Place a bowl of iced water in front of the fan, play around with the position till you feel it's correct.

I understand that living in the UK, most homes don't have air conditioning, because the temp usually doesn't get very high.

I live in the states (in the middle of the country) and most homes have ac. So I feel fortunate that I don't have to put up with the heat. It has been a warm summer.

Try a dehumidifier to take out the humid air, it will make you feel cooler and less chance of mold and mildew to develop. My son-in-law gave me that advice, and he's a house inspector.
