Think i will stick to Shiraz or Syrah grape tea which comes in a handy 75 cl bottle but i may well give it a whirl as it sounds perfect for soothing a dry throat. :)

Sangria ahhhhhh, a highlite of a spanish holiday One of the better things in life , it makes up for the ryan air flight ( cattle truck) there and back which must be endured

I thought I'd found the elixir of life when I started having a bedtime drink of manuka honey and whisky, until my Diabetic (Type 2) dietician brought me back down to earth with a bump. I think I'll give this a try. πŸ™‚

i am more inclined towards Pukka pies, maybe they do a steak and kidney with infused manuka honey gravy :) x

HungryHufflepuff profile image
HungryHufflepuffβ€’ in reply toskischool

πŸ₯§. I like the Pukka leek and potato pie. Some new teas have really weird flavour combinations. It would not be at all surprising to find a steak, kidney and honey tea. Personally I’m not sure I’d like to try it though πŸ˜„

skischool profile image
skischoolβ€’ in reply toHungryHufflepuff

I have never come across the Pukka leak and potato pie, maybe it's only available further oop north but it sounds nice.i did some research on this wonder tea and apparently it contains loads of liquorice root which supposedly is not good for pregnant people but thankfully my recent ct scan reveals that i wouldn't have a problem trying it. :)

Medical grade Manuka honey was used on a surgical wound infection I had after my CABG. It was from my harvested vein. It worked very well.

HungryHufflepuff profile image
HungryHufflepuffβ€’ in reply toSmikra

My dad had the same. He had an infection in the surgical wound from where the vein in his leg was taken and it was only the Manuka honey that healed it.

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply toSmikra

I learned in history that Vikings used to use honey in wounds to stop infection

I was recommended thyme tea for my poor lungs and have found it helps. I had a little pot of thyme on the window sill and used to make it myself with a little infuser affair that goes in the cup. I chucked the plant out though as a precautionary measure because I have an allergy to aspergillus.

I also drink fennel tea - does nothing for the poor lungs but my poor stomach tolerates it well!

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply togandac

The stomach can be a problem when we only think of our lungs , hopefully we can all reach a tolerable solution

I occasionally make ginger tea using fresh ginger. It makes me breathe better and gives me energy. I would have several drinks everyday but it gives me a cracking headache if I have more than one.

Always have lemons and a piece of ginger in as I like cooking, so its a drink i have often. I have also swapped sugar for honey and that goes with sage from the garden. I like this hot or cold as well. Pukka has a good name and i do have quite a few teas that i like. I am on hibiscus for high blood pressure at the moment, dont know if its working but like the tea anyway x

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply toIzb1

I love lemon in green tea , add ginger it's better and if you add honey as well I'm in my element , I tried the blueberry green tea , yuk not for me I'm afraid

I only drink herbal tea, love that one.

I drink yogi breath easy tea bags in the morning or throat comfort, you can get them from Holland and Barrett, very soothing in the morning, when your feeling congested x enjoy your tea x x

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply toShirleyj

I mostly drink green tea with added infusions but I still like my pg tips with milk and sugar , my dad always got an oooow with his tea lol

12345pink profile image
12345pink

Did you know manuka honey has sugar in. We were told by the dr. I have a tiny bit in my porridge most days. It’s very good for colds these tea bags. I just ring tons lemon and ginger and have them most days. If you think your getting a cold this is the tea bag to take.

soulboy118 profile image
soulboy118β€’ in reply to12345pink

Apparently only pasteurized honey keeps its goodness when put into hot water so apart from the taste when we put honey into our hot green teas with lemon or ginger the honey does us no good , I'm unsure if that applies to manuka though pink
