Instructions on how to attach pics for a simpleton please?

Good evening to all - finally feeling somewhat better although had another CT scan today - I have been attempting to add the pics of my finally finished and painted bird house to no avail lol - brain still mushy - could anyone advise just how to attach pics in the most simple terms as I really cannot remember how to do so. When I say simple I mean in explicit detail, SirSki please do not get excited - as the Cap'n won't appreciate that Am off to bed now so please take your time - no rush - many thanks and sweet dreams to all. x

It’s good to know you’re feeling a bit better but I hope you get to feeling a whole lot more better (is that grammatically correct? Betterer?) soon.

You can’t attach a photo except in your opening post, which is weird because you can attach videos in replies, and videos use a lot more wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff (to quote Doctor Who) which can cause my iPad to self destruct with my slow internet.

To attach a photo in your opening post, while you’re writing it, near the bottom there’s a button that says something like add photo. But I can’t remember exactly. Then you have to choose from several options, I think it’s gallery to find your own photos. I only did this the other day but I can’t remember. This is not one of the more helpful replies you’re going to get 🙄

I have tried what u said to add a picture to my post, it will not post. It worked ok last time I did it but that was a few months ago. Frustration has set in. Any other ideas, please? 🤓👍

For some reason I can’t attach photos from my phone anymore. It used to work just fine but now I get some error message. But it works fine from my iPad. It’s frustrating (though maybe a relief for everyone else who are spared my photos?!) because I carry my phone everywhere but rarely take my iPad out, therefore most of my photos are on my phone.

From menu choose library iPad iPhone.

Click on chosen photo, image will appear in you post.

If satisfied give you post a title, write and submit post.

Glad to read that you are feeling a bit better Margaret. 🙂 As regards posting photos the first thing to consider is knowing exactly where your photo is being kept, because you will need to give that address after you've clicked 'Write' to bring up the panel in which you write your message. It depends on where your photo is kept which decides which option you need to choose of the three offered when you click 'Add Photo'. So tell me more about what you take photos with and where they will be when you want to include them in your message.

I have to get my son to take them Cap'n as I have an extremely elderly phone which is barely capable of making calls let alone taking pics - I am not a fan of iphones - anyway that's my photo posting for this year - it only took me 2 hours - somewhat worn out now - take care to everyone and huge thanks to you Cap'n and to all who tried to guide me - just going to lie down for a bit
