It might be helpful to do a forum search for Onbrez. The search box is top right of the page. OH is using this and hasn’t experienced the side effects you describe.

Some inhailer do give you cramp, never been on breezhaler ,I was once on symborcort it gave me the worse cramps ever in my legs ,I had to be changed to Fostair, still get a tiny bit of cramp ,I can cope with that ,also ventolin gives me cramp ,although ventolin does nothing for my chest so I dont use it ,G P told me it is due to the ,let me try and get this correct ,beta antagonist, that's not rite but something like that name in the inhailers

I've been on it 3 years & I haven't had any problems. I do have the odd muscle spasm but haven't linked it to the breezhaler x

Since I dont know which inhalers you were on before, this may not be relevant but just in case . . . Breezehaler is an anti-cholinergic medication and many of these, like Spiriva for instance, are designed to dry up your mucus. Ive been given various of them, though not Breezehaler, and have had such a dry mouth that I could feel my throat sticking to itself. Speaking was impossible as my tongue would stick to my mouth.

So if you dont have much mucus for them to work on in the first place, these drugs can cause disabling dryness. My consultants at the Brompton accepted this without question when I told them I couldnt take any of these type of drugs and were happy to leave me on Symbicort.

Re the cramps, do you, or have you thought of taking a magnesium supplement? Magnesium works wonders for cramping.

Did you rinse your mouth after each use I found that helped.i had that problem mouth fry throat feeling stuck when I was on pulmicort but once i had a good rinse out it soon settled down.

I've always rinsed and gargled after each 'puff' with any inhaled medication, not just steroids. Dont think the dryness had anything to do with that. If I drunk sip of water it would be better for about 15 seconds until the water had gone. I have a long history of this and nothing helps - other than some kind of chemical saliva the doctor mentioned which you can get at the pharmacists and that sounded revolting to me so I never tried it.

Oh. This is the first explanation I've had about what Spiriva is for or what it does. I was prescribed it in September last year but other than the fact of it being just another inhaler, I had no idea why I have it. Now I know what it's for. Thank you.

It's one of the things it does HH - Im sure there are more. Other users may come on and tell you more. It should say in the patient info leaflet too. :)

I'm on symbicort also and ventolin also atrovent both inhalers and nebuliser. I've always suffered from leg and foot cramps but now I'm on this seebri breezhaler I have cramps everywhere leg's feet toes hands ribs back everywhere 😭. But it is improving the copd greatly.

Try a magnesium supplement - speak to your doctor who might do a blood test to see if you're deficient. Epsom salt baths might help - ES is basically magnesium Im told.

Check if they contain steroids, anything with steroids gave me very bad cramps. Doc took me off them and gave me inhalers with no steroids in do not suffer any more.

Good one he gave me. RESPIGEN
