The Rhythm Method

Some times it's very difficult

When you get out of bed

To get your act together

Shift the cobwebs from your head

I think I've found how to do it

Just make those two feet tap

Work up a bit of rhythm

Even get your hands to clap

Start off very slowly

Until you build up speed

Once you get it going

Nothing will impede

Love the rhyme Don, and the video. That’s definitely got rhythm. I watched Stone’s video too 😁 I’m not too sure I’ll be doing much of that stretching and bending in the mornings. I stretch out and press the button on my coffee machine, that’s the extent of my stretching! Az men leygt zikh hungerik shteyt men oyf shleferik. That’s my excuse, and the about extent of my Yiddish.

Tapping a foot is about my limit too start with. I was very impressed with your Yiddish, if it's correct. I'm not Jewish I just like Timna Brauer and the Elias Meiri Ensemble. The actual song was made a hit by the Andrews Sisters probably before your time.

I hadn’t heard of Timna Brauer or the Elias Meiri Ensemble but I liked that song so I might have to check out more of their music 👍

When I saw the title of the post I thought good old don was being a little cheeky, I'm sure they used the term in the old days when women wanted to avoid pregnancy, anyone remember or is it just my warped mind lol.

in reply toJollj

I didn’t think anyone would remember the pre-pill days. 😀

Aww- your rhyme reminded me of my dad- He used to time a time to get out of bed and get going. He would bend his knees quite a bit before he got going.
