Hi Pauline, I was prescribed Trilegy a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately ended up at AandE with type 2 respiratory failure. I was put on Fostair and asked the consultant about Trilegy and he basically said that it was three products in one but that the Fostair was better.

Sorry I can’t help you much more.

Take care Darren x

Hi Darreni thank you for your reply, my copd nurse recommended it to me but having read a few things about it I’m disappointed so I will mention it to her when I go to see her on the 2nd of may. I have been on fostair for some time haven’t found it that helpful so that’s why I am on this one. Pauline.

I’ve had an “on off “ relationship with trelegy for some time👍 I originally sufffered dreadfully with the side effects but thus time trying it I’m much better. Trouble with my sinuses but if you wash your mouth out immediately after taking it I’m so much better on it. Ask dr for nystan for oral thrush to help combat side effects 👍

Hello Pauline , glad to hear I am not the only one being asked to try new inhalers. Guess somebody has to be the human guinea pigs. These Ellipta inhalers all seem to have slightly different drugs in them, but this one it seems works well for those with moderate to severe COPD. Good luck with it

I have been using Trelegy for 3 months. I changed from Spiriva and Dulera. I have noticed no real difference since I changed. So I will compare prices and go with whichever costs less.

This is my first post! I have bronchiectasis and asthma. I was on list for transplant at Mayo Lung Transplant Center for 6 years but although I was on list; was much too functional to actually get a lung! I took myself off the list 6 years ago with concurrence of Drs. I was 70 with many severe allergies to medication and resistance to most of standard antibiotics. My quality of life is good (relatively) and prognosis of actual success of transplant was poor! I’ve only had two exacerbations in last 6 years...very blessed and grateful! My pulmonologist prescribed Trelegy a few weeks ago! I had several side effects...tremors, sore throat, and increased wheezing. I immediately stopped. One problem with all the new meds is that in US FDA approves drugs after minimal field trials so we as patients end up being the guinea pigs! I read all protocols, etc. and make myself knowledgeable of side possible side effects and interactions with other medicines before taking first dose. My pulmonologist who is managing director of us group does not familiarize himself or inform me with necessary info before prescribing drugs! I find that fairly representative. Physicians rely on drug reps for info and of course drug reps probably stress the strengths and minimize the weaknesses. My advice is to be very cautious and do the research! Sorry for the long post!

Sorry to hear about your experience with trelegy and also your health in general I have tried to do as much research as I can with mixed results I will see the copd nurse in ten days and I will voice my concerns to her I have taken this inhaler for two days which is only twice ok at the moment so hoping it may help my copd I will let you know how things are after a fair run of using it Pauline xx

Keeping my fingers crossed that it works for you!! Symbicort and spiriva work pretty well for me unless asthma is particularly severe.

Hello There, My COPD nurse changed my meds to Trelegy Elipta a couple of months ago. I have to say I find I am a LOT more breathless with it, just doing the smallest tasks now is difficult. Unfortunately I am abroad for 3 months! so I just do not know what to do. Before I was on Spiriva and another inhaler ( white tube with red top) can't remember the name. Any thoughts? Thank you
