Thatβs a lovely family photo . Your dad looks proud of his family and your mum and sister have lovely smiles . You look a very promising young man π.
My Dad was born 1901 and died 1986, too young to fight in WW1 and too old for WW2. But he fought fires in the Auxiliary (later to become the National) Fire Service in addition to his full-time day job.
Cracking photo Don π Iβve not been to Windsor castle since the safari park was open, other than once about 8 years ago when I said to my wife, βLetβs go to the safari parkβ so we drove all the way there and then straight back home when we realised it had shut down years previously π€£π€£
As dear Carole says a lovely photo and one of your best verses yet Master Po.reckon you need to find something that rhymes with more than 100 for your own eulogy,i hope so anyway.
I agree with you though Don. I have a small one bed flat so could not contemplate any equipment, but I have started playing music on YouTube and that at least seems to make it a little more pleasant. I really want to keep it up but some days it is a huge effort and its only the thought that I might have to go back to the very beginning if I stop that motivates me.
Have to say though I do feel better in myself. You?
You keep it now as you gave a great goal to work towards π
Great pic too. These pics kinda whisks me away to a different era, probably more beautiful and less complicated times. Still hear the stories from my grandad whose 101.π
I think those days were much less complicated, but very much harder. Well done granddad, Iβll think myself lucky if I get through another winter, but then you never know. π
Only you know the effort it takes to put forth such a wonderful uplifting verse. Be assured, it brings glad feelings to look back over the years at such a happy smiling family. Thank you for sharing this, Don. J
Great Photo Don, Great Words of your Memories. Your family have a Long Life age, as you will have dear Don. just keep getting up to feed & water Good old Midge, she is your Inspiration to keep Going Hun. XXXX
Oh! Don, this made me feel tingly, such a lovely photo and another great verse. I know times were hard but what a lovely time to grow up in, you must have very fond memories, thanks for brightening my day and give a Midge a big hug from me x
Oh Irene! I thought the days when I could make a girl feel βtinglyβ were long since gone. π€£ When I think back about the changes that have taken place since that photo was taken, I can hardy believe Iβm still on the same planet. But some of the people are still the same. Thereβs a much wider range of different types now, at one time we were all pretty much of a sameness going about our daily lives. But now and then I meet someone who might still be quite young, but reminds me of someone I knew over 70 years ago. That then makes me βtinglyβ. π
Long time since anybody thought of me as a girl Don ha! Maybe its the same characteristics that you see in that person that reminds you of them, no matter the age x
Glad to see you βramblingβ, Don. Iβve been getting 502 Bad Gateway messages when Iβve tried to read this post today. No idea what that means. But Iβm glad to see your post and the replies are still here π
