For the first four, nearly five weeks I had a severe exacerbation that ended with a hospital stay, where they diagnosed IPF (I also have severe COPD - Chronic Bronchitis and Emphysema) I had been out of hospital two days and got a stomach upset (no sickness) that has lasted 6 days. Today, despite having a stomach ache I managed to get an almost full nights sleep. I have assumed that my stomach issues have been caused by medication 🤔 I’ve been coughing since I woke up, and now have pains in both lungs so have used my rescue kit (again!) and am now on a respirator. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a few normal days? Just to balance it out 😳

Answering myself here by throwing out a question, but could acid reflux have caused my stomach upset? I’ve been taking ranitidine for the last few weeks for it. 🤔
I have no answers Brian but I hope you can find a few “normal” days very soon. Things do seem to spiral sometimes don’t they. Pete seems to have one thing after another at times.
Have a good day and wishing you well as always. Xxxxx😘
I’ve been in bed relaxing more than out over the last six weeks, but on the plus side I have lost a bit of weight 😎🤣
Just like to mention regarding if it is acid reflux I was suffering from this and it made my throat croaky and burnt my throat and my chest, I also was spitting up white frothy pleghm, I found out that once I stopped eating gluten the acid reflux went away and I only get it now if I accidentally eat gluten, it's just a thought try a gluten free diet, low sugar unless it's whole fruit, and try lots of different coloured fruit and vegetables especially Berry's, also try taking magnesium and calcium supplements and make sure you get enough zinc as it helps in fighting infection.
It's just a thought but when your not well you will try anything to make you feel better, I know I am.
Thank you Ragnor. I have just read Bills story - very interesting! I’ve already been considering making changes to my diet, seems like I need to do it sooner rather than later. I really appreciate your helpful reply, thank you 😎
Yeah that's not a problem Brian I hope you get on top of this and I will try helping anyone out if I can, plus there is an old saying you are what you eat, I watched this video before and this man said every 3 months or so your body's cells renew so if you eat rubbish for 3 months that's what you will be made up of so try to eat good food, if it doesn't supply you with anything good nutrient wise then do not eat it, it's like these dogs you see that are mistreated and they are so skinny and there coat looks really bad and then a few months later after being fed good food and having exercise and less stress they look like a new dog, it's the same with the human body.
I just hope you can get on top of this life can be very hard sometimes and we have to go.through some not so nice things but remember there is always hope and try not to give in.
Medications can have all kinds of unpleasant effects on the stomach and cause upsets of both varieties 🚾🚽 There are medications that can counter those effects but they have other side effects. It really is a never ending circle. I do hope things improve a bit for you soon though.
Hello HungryH. I was trying to be clever but answered someone else in reply to you lol 🤣 As you rightly say it’s a never ending circle. I’m feeling a bit like a hamster on a wheel at the moment 🤔 Take care xx
Hi Parker sorry you're not having a great time, if I could swap a few days with you I would. Haven't been on for a while struggling myself at the moment with depression and other ailments. Got Dr's Tuesday so hopefully something will get sorted. Love and hugs to you and your family xxx
Sorry to hear you are struggling a bit at the minute, nothing worse than depression. Sara says the hardest thing for her right now is keeping me lifted, not the endless doctors, hospitals, medicines and worry! I also hope things improve for you very soon. Take care xx
