Morning all ,just wondering should we take potassium supplements when been on steroid inhalers a number of years

Not sure about that Alice. You could ask your GP for a blood test to see if you have a potassium deficiency (hypokalemia) - a quick google shows that steroids can cause this but I tend to think I get enough potassium from diet - bananas, sweet potatoes, spinach, chard, broccoli, white beans etc.

I would be more concerned that steroids can often cause osteoporosis - I have this in my hip though not spine. So I take magnesium, vitamin D and vitamin K to protect my bones (plenty of calcium in my diet).

o2Trees, have this in my spine. 4 vertebral fractures. It's awful.

Thank you for that o2tree ,iv been feeling kind of achey and water infection dr gave me d3 plus calcium named adcal ,I think I'll start eating bananas ect
