PND cough for YEARS!

I have coughing spells 3 to 4 or more times every day of my life. I cough up clear mucus that chokes me in my throat. It begins as a ticking and gets extreme, then crescendos down again. Is violent many of the episodes. I’ve had tests with no conclusions. Saw an ENT for two years with no success. I have had this for YEARS! I feel like it may kill me one day—either from violent coughing or if I’m not able to cough, I may get pneumonia. It’s exhausting and annoying. Tried nettie pot—-nope. Seems the only thing that helps is benedryl—temporary with side effects. And it’s back again. Would love some help!

I have exactly the same problem and like you have been to ENT and told there is only MILD sinusitis causing the problem.that said I have green nasal mucus every single day. Also I have tried everything under the sun with no success at all. And the coughing spasms are frightening when they are very severe,

Tomorrow I am going to see one of the experienced practice nurses to talk to her about it as I can’t be bothered talking to the gp as it is just dismissed. I understand how you feel as I wonder it it will every stop or even ease a little
