Hello Andy, if you have been prescribed your Cpap because of sleep apnoea, then you should really be using it all the time you are sleeping. If you are having problems with it, please contact the hospital who prescribed it, so they can help you.
Why only 2 hours?
It works best if you use it while sleeping. You will get used to it. If you are having a hard time, talk to your prescriber or the company that provided the CPAP.
I have been on CPAP now for some 5 years and found initially that it was tough getting used to it. I got in touch with my sleep disorder centre and they got me in for a reassessment of the data on the machine and decided that I really needed a BPAP machine which is the same machine but provides different pressures for breathing in and breathing out. They also suggested a full facial mask and after that I started to improve. Nowadays, I average 7 hours a night and am much more refreshed in the morning. Please don't assume that this is the solution for you, we are all different, one man's meat....................
