Teapot v Mug.

I'm worried about the teapot,

That very British thing.

I've noticed that just recently

A very definite swing.

To placing just one teabag,

In a mug that's sometimes rude,

And alleges to relate to

The person who's just brewed.

This really isn't cricket,

And should never be.

In Britain, as is very well known,

Everything stops for tea.

Everything does stop for tea Don but the teapot only comes out at Christmas and Easter. Otherwise it’s tea bag in a mug all the way.....sorry. I am partial to a proper cup and saucer though. Xxx ☕️🍪😘

Well, not always. As the offspring of tea drinkers I can't stand the stuff!

That said, love your rhymes.

Teapot every time. Because apart from everything else one mug is never enough. And as for the early morning/bed tea five or six is about right.

Halleluiah we are saved,

The pot is not forgot!

Tea is craved by thirsty Kate.

And she drinks quite a lot. 😘

Your tea pot Don is far to clean

it needs some stains, get rid the sheen

Your mug looks like it's hardly used

It should look battered and abused

Strong tea and character go hand in hand

Making coffee drinkers rather bland.

So come on now lets put that kettle on

And drink a toast to our dear Don.:)

Ski's,scruffs and a mug of Twinings finest strong breakfast x

in reply to skischool

My cleaning lady who I pay

Insists it should be kept that way.

The brown one that I use instead

Is out the garden in the shed.

The mug which someone bought for me,

Hangs on in a fancy wooden tree.

Thank you for the toast dear Ski

Is that marmalade I see?

Teapot, real tea leaves, tea strainer and the possibility of a tea cosy! 😄👍 It just can't get any better than that! 😍

Im partial to my cuppa Don and quite like the decaf at Aldi , but I do like a proper cup of tea made in the teapot with a cup and saucer that must be bone china, us Brits eh! Thanks for the poem, cheers our morning just like the morning brew x

Tea pot every breakfast and lunch time. Makes a better brew, especially if the pot is warmed first.

in reply to Ergendl

That's true, I was brought up on a warm pot.😉

Always use a teapot in our house Don, old habits die hard.

I'm tea, but my SO's coffee. I've been doing my best to educate him, but I've failed... 🙄 Or maybe he's just beyond salvation? 😉

You get these undeveloped cases occasionally I'm afraid. You just have to learn to live with them.😢

I definitely can't drink Tea ,I love my two espressos in the morning and that's good for me.

I just don't understand people when they say they could murder a cup of tea.😂
