Valves verses total removal

I'm looking for advice on having surgery at the Royal Brompton hospital in the very near future but haven't been given enough information on the best possible surgery to have. I opted out of being used as a ginnepig but I think I've made a mistake... HELP

My next appointment is to see a surgeon on Feb 22 so need some advice🙏

Hi Missy. My Lung Consultant explained all to me prior to Having valves last Year(June). Yes, I can Breathe Better. There is a lot involved, have someone with you (I had my Hubby). Best to have a Discussion with your Surgeon at your Appointment in Feb. You can decide then. Good Luck xxx

Can you have this procedure done if you have problems bringing phlegm up went in last year but they did not do it as I had phlegm in the centre of my chest ?

Hi Hun, I didn't have any at the time, so if they said this to you, then they couldn't. We learn New things every day. Are you going to ask your Consultant again for the Procedure if your chest has Cleared. Good Luck . xxx

Why dont you call the BLF helpline Missy - their nurses are great, friendly and knowledgeable. You could talk through what could be involved. All the best
