£50 For GP’s DWP Letter

£50 for letter stating to I’ll to attend world 🌍 famous occupational therapist.

Week later still waiting for Letter

You would think £50 for paragraph or two WOULD expedite the fingers.

I guess it’s all part of bigger picture DWP Dla Pip reforms.

That’s terrible JAS but there’s never any hurry for anything these days. I do wish you well and thinking of you and your dear dad. Xxxx

Hi sassy that’s nothing to what the green paper says 📝 about welfare reforms.

Gov are trailing all sorts of un constitutional acts TO try get sick disabled into work.

Every sick disabled person is going to be presumed fit for work.

Thats an interesting article, I found that if a decision was put in the hands of a GP the situation got confused as to the health issues relating to the workplace as opposed to health issues relating to your right to benefits. Does that make sense ? it sounds gobbldy gook when I read it. :) But thanks for the link Jeff good luck to you on your plight, services are getting less & less for the sick.It is more centred around whether you can work or not. Your Gps are encouraged to try and keep you fit & independant so you don't need other care services, but that does not work on long term illness/ chronic illness. Consolation your £50 does go into NHS funds, but usually an office secretary prepares letters based on your computer history these days.

That is so true , when I was working age although stated to be unfit for work it used to be reveiwed every 3 months. So my GP still reveiws me every three months even though I am retired now for 17 years. In some areas money is being wasted so to speak, while other areas could use the money more productively. Sadly Jeff we all live on a knife edge if dependent on government money. Disability money does not go up each year like other benefits , so those who are sick with little hope of return to work are often stuck in an unreliable income situation and the stress that goes with it. As well as the cut backs on care, prescriptions, appointments ect. The future looks very difficult for chronically sick. Its the governments responsibility to look after us but they do not want to or have the means to do so on some occassions. Good luck with your claim, you deserve it as you also do your best to care for elderly sick relatives. Best Wishes
