So many people say that their cats or dogs or both does not contribute to their COPD or Asthma but in fact , anything that flies around in the air can get into your system and cause attacks. Animal hair, dander, feathers, lint from carpets, smoke, steam, cold weather, hot weather, different foods, stuffed animals, perfumed face creams or shampoo, etc, etc, can affect your condition. I had to take down my curtains and use blinds, instead. I can't use wool blanklets or dryer sheets in my dryer unless they are the kind without any smell. Bleach is my worse enemy. I can't stand to smell bleach. . I can't use perfumes, spray deodorants, hair spray, any kind of room deodorizer and so much more. I use to love lousiana hot sauce but now i have to be very careful or it will hit the back of my throat and make me breathless. I'm praying and believing, not only for my healing ,but for everyone that i hear of, that has any kind of respiritory conditions. JeannieNanny.

Thank you for your prayers. Wishing you well. Xxx
This is true but unless we live in a bubble being tube fed living on purified air, we have all of thies things in the air to cope with. My cats make me happy keep me company and a reason to get out of bed. My health dident improve when i had no animals so i decided to get two cats, my health dident deteriorate after they arrived. I think i would rather be happy with my life and have my cats and frends and go out into the polluted outside world than live in a sterile environment not being able to do what i can. I have this illness i do my best to stay well. But i wont give up on life. Ps i cant handle bleach eather feels like my tubes are closing down. Prayers to you to, stay well
Don’t forget everybody responds differently to organic or inorganic substances. My belief that the therapeutic effect pets have far out ways the minor effect fur and dust might have. Good luck and keep paranoia free
Mikeadams is right, we're all different. If you know your triggers and can get some medical allergy tests done you can improve your lot immeasurably. Personally I prefer to focus on the the good things that make life a joy. I'm lucky though, I'm not allergic to dust mite or pet dander/fur/hair. My dog with hair gets me out, she's funny, lovely and gives perfect strangers smiles and joy too. Just don't buy the stuff that makes you breathless!
Thank you for your prayers, very comforting. Ideally we all want to breathe only the purest air. I am different every day with irritants, sometimes I can cope with perfume and household sprays etc and another day I have no tolerance at all. Household dust and builders dust I can never cope with. It doesn't take long to learn to know what to avoid and try to get on with your life the best you can. All the best on your COPD journey and try to keep positive. God Bless
