COPD, Doc put me on Oxygen. Hook's brought out a concentrator that smelled terrible as the guy walked through the door with it; kind of a smoky smell. I can't tell if the oxygen smells or I'm just smelling the dang tubing. Best I can tell it's the tubing, but I can't tell if that's the only smell I sensing. Any recommendations on where to buy tubing and nose 'thingies' in the 'states' without any smell?
I need to determine if the stupid concentrator is polluted.
Thanks So Much,

Like many things if you are not happy with it for Any reason you can ask for it to be replaced or at least examined and tested. I presume that the s6ates is tge same as the UK generally.
But I think the tube and mask are available on Amazon or other online outlets
I often notice a smell when cannulae are very new, a slight chemically smell. This wears of within a couple of hours. If it is the concentrator which smells I would be concerned.
They brought-out two more concentrators today; the first felt like it was burning my nose, yet a cool burn, like menthol would feel. the second... no odor whatsoever. I soaked my tubing overnight in a large bowl of soapy Dawn dish water. Used a turkey baster to fill the tube full; made a big difference.
