That’s next week so not long to wait. I hope it goes well. Don’t forget to write down any questions you have, and don’t leave til you’ve got the answers, and preferably take someone with you as two pairs of ears are better than one. Good luck Thomsk.

Thank you i use to go before and felt like he just wanted rid of me because i phoned up to say i couldnt make the appointment because it was at such short notice like i was told it was the nxt day by a nurse who was doin a Pulmonary function test so i phoned up to check told them i havent received a letter and she said thats funny cause theres no letter of us sending one so i asked if i could re book it so that i have time to get some one to come with me as im not to steady on my feet with having Rheumatoid arthritis next thing i got a letter saying i was signed of and if i wanted to see the specialist i have to see my Dr to be referd and with me not seeing my dr because i felt i wasnt getting the correct care it felt like i was wasnt getting any were they just kept saying theres something new rong with me without telling me wat was causing the last problem so 4 years later joined up with another Drs and so far so good cause i hate been a burden on people so i built up the courage to explain this to the new Dr which he was very understanding i have a rare lung disease and am the 3rd person in the UK with it wat kind of questions do you think i should be asking please and thank you and sorry for any inconveniance

Good luck to you Thomsk. Ask what you might expect going forward. Notepad and pen to write things down. Take care xxxx

Ask how the condition is going to affect you in the future, what treatment options are open to you, what your consultant's treatment plan is, when you will be seeing the consultant again (if not why not). Ask for a copy of the consultant's letter to your GP to be sent to you.

Yes always a good idea to take someone with you as you cant possibly remember everything unless you record conversations. Hope all goes well. Go in with a list of problems and questions.
