How much does the NHS refund for the use of a oxygen concentrater
Oxygen: How much does the NHS refund... - Lung Conditions C...
Oxygen
The oxygen company send a cheque or transfer , there is a standard calculation, mine averages about 33.00 per quarter
Hi
Are you referring to a NHS supplied concentrator or you own self purchase, there is no refund on a self purchase concentrator.
As mentioned in previous reply any refund for electricity is calculated by your provider depending on usage, concentrators have a built in clock.
Thanks, NHS provided wondered if any one knew the unit rate at which the payment is made at.
Hi
The calculation is hours used x electricity used x your particular tariff
Minimum payment is ten pounds, any amount less will carried forward.
You will not make loss or a profit. The actual charge will be according to you particular tariff.
I can’t remember it but you will be told this when you receive your payment , it gives how they calculate and st what rate , if I remember rightly it’s not as much as it costs us
Thanks not wanting to make a profit but wondered if you got the cost back.....time will tell
HI. I do get Refunds every 3 months via my Supplier "Air Liquide" who are used through the NHS. Yes, it depends on Electric used, I use minimum 16 hours per day. I receive a notification from them itemising each Month's use.
Really! What sort of wattage are they? I've got a big one downstairs and a little one upstairs but i expect they use the same
all of it there is a meter on the machine
I have my letter in front of me for June of this year which showed0.1221 electricity refund rate x 0.2900 KW/H for concentrator what ever that all means and for 1718.0 hours I received £63.87. See if that helps you
I’ve no idea how it’s calculated as my supplier upped my standing order by £20 a month but I only got a refund of £33 for three months for static and mobile concentrator.
I definitely do not get a refund according to my electricity tariff. I have never changed electric supplier as I find it to hard to cope with. When I got my refund last time I rang up the NHS as the rate quoted was quite low compared to what I pay to my electric supplier. They told me it is a set tariff. My supplier is Dolby Vivisol. So this means the electric to run my oxygen supplies costs me more than what I get refunded from the NHS. I don't think it will work out as being a massive cost though - maybe a few pounds every quarter. I will be sure to calculate it next time I get a refund. I hope that helps. Reading the posts it seems it must be different in different areas.
