" Hello Bobby.. I've just had my lung function test results today...24% which is a big drop for me from 44%. My sat's are between 95/7 So not all bad..but in my own self I am starting at last to feel much stronger after a year of stress and hurt.Ohhh! I've even gained 2 stone in weight. I am now 7 stone... we are both happy bunnys now..😊...Megan..."

Yes, my husband has Fev1 25% and runs 94-96% sats. But he gets winded pretty fast. Showering. Situating himself in our adjustable bed etc. now is cold season and the son has a cold so hoping he doesn’t catch that!

I am curious about oxygen saturations....is that 98% sitting or after a brisk long walk or walking up stairs?

Take good care, stay well,

Meg

I was thinking the same Meg. I think many of us start to desaturate when we start to walking etc. bobbyfloyd otherwise like me at rest, our numbers are high. xx

Hi! Caspiana, I have wondered about oxygen levels when walking and activities. You are right at rest they are 97-99.

Give Chom lots of cuddles and hugs from me!!

Take good care of you and Chom,

Stay well,

Meg xx

I have 93% oxygen sats at rest with 20% lung function. Keep on smiling

I just visited the specialist yesterday for the first time, have been under A GP until this point. Had a spirometer test which read 20, and my oxygen levels are 93 at rest.

Very breathless....

Oxygen saturations are not a good indication of the health of the lungs especially at rest. It could be that they fall whilst mobilising or carrying out tasks.

Yes I agree

Me. About 27% capacity and SATS usually between 96 and 97. Agree that it’s a different matter on exertion!

Yes, I am 23% lung but usually get 97 or 98% Oxy levels on my oxyometre. I often wonder how that is/

i hate to buck the trend but with 22% lung function i get a mere 91/92 at rest,i stop looking on exertion as the numbers say my number should be up but hey ho i'm still cracking on.

Ski's and an oxygen rich cat .

Me too, 91% sitting without oxygen, but drops to 84%/86% just getting up and walking 6 metres to the kitchen and out of puff, so oxygen with movement.
