Although it is terrible that the guard hit him I suspect that there is something more to this story. I never had a security guard attend any of my interviews. There must have been a reason why, after the experience of previous interviews, they decided to have a security guard there when this couple attended.

I have never heard of anything of this nature before. From the patients yes, from the staff no. I agree with you. Something amiss here. It would perhaps be wise to find out more before deciding blame. It is not without good reason that the posted notices in surgery's, hospitals etc refer to the abuse the staff are often suffer from patients for one reason or another. Anyone know where the photo came from, and if there was a report of the incident as security personal are called when an incident occurs, not before, unless they have prior experience of a particular patient.

From reading the article all the way through it does seem that the security were there as a result of an incident last time this couple visited. As you say we don't know all the facts

I live near that assessment centre. And it has security guards anyway. I think the gentleman was unhappy because of the way they treated his disabled wife.
