does anyone else have pain in chest and back after lifting very slight weights eg shopping bag

I would like to ask you a question. You say you get a pain in your chest lifting "very slight weights"

It could be muscular or joints but, one would think you would get these pains anyway with normal movements..

My question is - Do you get these pains when you are resting, by that I mean sitting or lying down. or walking at most..

If the answer to my question is yes, I suggest you see your GP - In any case pain with so little effort probably would be better investigated.

There are many causes for pain, for little or NO effort, really does need seeing and chest pain should always be investigated..

Please don't be alarmed by my answer, it is probably minor but really better to be checked..

thought it could be muscular but the two most painful on left and right side were walking my dog also in my back but I do have osteoarthritis, am seeing my GP tomorrow, but thanks for your reply

Hi rockbox 225, I get pressure pain in my chest and back for a few years when lifting things like shopping etc or after exercise Mentioned I had pain in my ribs and chest to my consultant, he didn't want to know. I find winter time I'm under so much pressure breathing that's when my pain is worse. Normal pain relief doesn't really help it either just rest.
