With inhalers, huff and puffing,

Get this into your head.

It's going to take you twice as long,

To put yourself to bed!

I'm an asthmatic and have the same problem

I was thinking the other night

I wish I could just get changed and get into bed

But no I have a ton of meds to do

2 inhalers: 100/6 fostair atrovent 3 if i need ventolin

3 tablets and I have to write all down in my asthma diary and record my peak flow then finally turn my big light off to finally hop into bed

Well that would be nice wouldn’t it, but we just have to merge it into our normal routine and not think about it too much.

Yeh

We also have a longer morning routine where it takes us x amount of time to do morning meds and everything else on time. I'm definitely not one of those people who can get up and go to work with in ten minutes, it takes me at least 10 do meds

I have 3 inhalers in morning, fostair, atrovent alvesco and when wheezy ventolin which makes 4 inhalers and then tablets normally 1 or two but if I have steroids that could be a least 8 tablets which I cannot take steroids in one go I have to do them one at a time because as we all know steroids are disgusting and can be stubborn buggers to go down.

Well we get used to it but it is nice to dream of a life without so much health stuff x

Hope all is okay

It takes me twice as long to do everything but I have plenty of time to spare 😊 I listen to the radio while I get ready for bed and my cat Morag waits patiently til I’m all settled then jumps up to keep me company . Sweet dreams everyone 🙂

And even longer to get up in the morning.

There’s a chance to spread it out a bit then. So long as you don’t find you’ve still got your Jim-jams on at 10am. 🤭

Or you’ve not got your teeth in when the postman calls with a parcel

It gets worse when you get old and your memory starts to go a bit. Hop into bed, start to drift off, then remember you’ve forgotten some item. Get up and see to that, get back in bed. By that time you need to pee again. It’s mainly done on auto pilot these days. 😉

Yes, it's a slower process these days! xx Moy
