Hi thank you for the join, I've recently been diagnosed with emphysema getting used to using inhaler I was impressed with my treatment from NHS and especially my local pharmacist who instructed me on the use of inhaler and aero chamber then phoned me to see if I was comfortable with the equipment does anyone else have a chocking thirst especially at night ?

Hi weekerr and welcome to the site. It sounds as if you've got a good caring pharmacist there. Please feel free to ask any questions. There's almost always someone amongst us that can help. Nice to meet you, Sheila x

Thank you

Hi weekender. I don't have emphysema but do have lung condition, whether it is due to mouth breathing or constantly 'over breathing ' or the inhalers themselves I don't know all I do know is I can drink large glass of squash during the night and still wake up really thirsty. Hope you're feeling well and welcome I am fairly new on group but have been greatly educated and supported by them all.

Yes, I get through half a large glass of water every night, through waking up with a dry throat. If it gets really bad, I use xylimelts for a while, which seem to help.
