Lung question

I have been having weird sensations and dull pain in my chest. It almost kinda feels like gas, I've had asthma for years and get bronchitis often. My dr. sent me for chest xrays because I was scared. I go back to dr. to get results and all she told me was, "Its the COPD" and nothing further. I could get no more information and nothing new was prescribed. What does this mean? Im frustrated with drs. at the moment.

Ugh!!! 😡 Doctors who won't answer questions. Or may be can't answer. How very frustrating. Hello Jjkam . 😊 The only thing I can suggest is going back and asking for a proper explanation. And perhaps a second opinion. It's truly infuriating.

Yes, I agree. Then I got strep throat a short time after and was put on amoxicillin for 10 days and now I am so congested and spitting up mucus and the dr. put me on singulaire for allergies. I feel awful😰

Do you think you might have an infection? When I have infections I do get chest pain. I'm sorry you feel awful. 😩

Caspiana, it's possible. Is there a test for pneumonia or any tests to see if there is an infection in my lungs? It doesn't really seem like bronchitis. Not sure..

Hi there. 😊

An x-ray can determine where the infection in your lungs is exactly and how much there is , but not the germ causing it. To identify the offending organism a blood test is necessary.A sputum test is also often taken too.

I had similar symptoms at home passed it off as indigestion then got very sob at A&E and eventually had heart failure, luckily I was in the right place and have been here for 4weeks and going to have stents procedure later in the week. My problems began as breathing which in turn was putting strain on the heart now the main problem is blocked arteries so I suggest you have your heart checked out as your earlier symptoms were similar to mine. Hi, Try to make contact with the BLF nurses they may have some pointers for you. Otherwise get a 2nd opinion if needs from a "private physician" then you may find that there is a treatment that you can go on.

Thank you!! I seem to burp alot after I use my albuterol nebulizer?! I had my heart checked a few weeks ago. EKG is good and my oxygen level was good on the finger test also. Could It possibly be pneumonia?? I was on amox for 10 days for strep and these symptoms and the cough and phlegm got worse.
