Hi folks any idea how long it takes for ct scan results to come back? And do they go to your GP? Thanks

You should get your results in writing and the doctor should get them at the same time. They normally take a week.

I would have thought they would go to whoever requested the scan - so to your consultant first if they referred you for it, then on the your GP with a copy to yourself, contextualised with the original GP referral, and Ive usually been told a week to 10 days.

Hi Iain, I live in Beekshire and had a ct scan on the Friday after a request from the respiratory doctor at the hospital and had the results on the Monday. Although the nurse that did the scan said it takes a week to ten days. It's all sent through electronically so I would call whoever requested the scan for you and chase it up. Hope you hear soon.

Thanks Ian it was my GP who referred me for the scan!
