Going to terms

Right well I’m starting to come to terms with the fact my lungs are at about 50%. I know this is probably a silly question but suggestion to stop getting worse. Given up smoking everything. Excersise bike 5 miles a night. I’m blowing up five balloons a night as suggested by someone. I’m looking for constructive advice on not getting worse

Hi

Ask your GP for referral to pulmonary rehabilitation, which is one hour exercise and one hour education.

You are already on the right track, no smoking, plenty of exercise. Sensible diet.

Avoiding any triggers, if it makes you gasp or catches your breath it’s likely to be or become a trigger. Air freshener, aerosol sprays, some household products are likely triggers. Any second hand smoke will have a effect.

Sounds like you are doing well. My only advice is to keep off the killing sticks and keep as active as you can. With luck your levels will improve now you’ve stopped smoking.
