Long Term Oxygen Therpy

I have been on this for over a year now, do you ever get off it and is it true that you are life limited when you are on oxygen. Have COPD and Long Covid

I have heard of some people eventually not needing oxygen but I have been on it now for some 25 years so would not call it life limited. I could not manage without it.

Do you mind if I ask if you are on it for emphysema or a different lung issue?

I have Emphysema and Bronchiectasis hope this helps

COPD, then got covid x2 and Long Covid.

I went from having zero health problems to 2020 March covid19. Diagnosis with Long covid June 2020 Diagnose lung nodlues and with Bronchiectasis 2021 Emphysema COPD 2022. Ambulatory oxygen use since 2021. Still using oxygen eatting talking walking anything exerting and exhausting. Awaiting ILD appointment as referred from long covid clinic.

Wow, you have been through it. I had to go privately to see a LC doctor but it was a 5 month wait! Still to hear if GP will prescribe medication recommended.
