When we are on our travels,

My little dog and me.

She aways buys a round of drinks

As you can plainly see.

So many times with ladies,

They drink and eat at will,

And when the night is over,

Leave me to pay the bill!

The most uncomfortable seats I've met in any pub. It was somewhere in Somerset. I can't remember where. I'm sat on a GPO sorting office stool, they had a number of other types including the tractor seat which you recognised. My nephew sat on that, it left quite an impression on him.

It was in Somerset I can’t remember just where, there are so many interesting old pubs around there. Despite them closing down at distressing rate. 😢

Yes so true I'm afraid ..It pains me to see as the village where I was brought up had 3 pubs back in the day ..1 sold take out beer and crisps nuts bottles of wine as like a little mini off licence in a little doorway at the side of the pub called the outdoor for anyone to go and buy even if you weren't drinking in there so it was great being able to go and buy pork scratching as a child at the ' outdoor ' made us feel very grown up the 2nd was a small pub but had alot going on and the 3rd was the most popular of the 3 ..all 3 had the weekly visit from the' fish man 'As us kids knew him as yuk pickled eggs, crab sticks ,and cockles were wafted round the bar at a certain time for sale in little pots with a cocktail stick to tuck in with ...as quick as he appeared he disappeared ..Oh those were the days
