Hello BLF friends,
Hope you are coping with the never ending winter ๐จโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Looking forward to Spring time!! โ๏ธ
So had one eye ๐ done, waiting patiently for the other op on the 27th..then home on the 31st.
Going to the nursing home was a good idea. It took a lot out of me. I didnโt realise it was going to be a proper op with diverse anesthetics, although not general, I felt I was injected with stuff all the time, oxygen in my nose, a drip, and I didnโt understand why they had to fill up my bladder, and I had to go to the restroom all night! Then the next day they kicked me out of the room at 9 am and I had to wait until 11.30 to have the post-op check-up. I was grumpy ๐ก ๐, had nausea and took paracetamol!
Did I tell you all that already?? I wonder if losing my eyesight temporarily equals memory loss ๐๐
Well here I am all cared for, fed, I have a nice room with tv which I can listen to if I canโt watch it ๐and a reduced mobility bathroom with a chair in the shower and I sleep like a log! A one eye holiday! My right eye is improving, apparently the whole thing will take 2 month to heal properly because of steroids, dryness..
So patience is a virtue, I will make it mine ๐
Havenโt been able to read you, making an effort to write this message on my iphone, trying to keep away from screens as my eyes both sting!
After all this moaning I think I will be glad to have done it. Certainly I see light which I hadnโt seen for a long while and I even see my wrinkles, which I could do without! ๐
Lots of love to you all
Fran xx
