What a funny morning eye test 8.30 am I heard my name called but somehow followed the wrong optician into his room He sat at a computer desk back to me after a few minutes I said Do you want me to sit in that chair he jumped out of his skin. When I got tested the optician told me I had very little vision in my R eye ( Plastic lense after catarac ) apparently plastic lense can cloud over . But the good news is it can be lasered and sight restored. I had eye drops to open up my pupils the test took 1hr 30 mins .I couldn’t see a thing when I came out had to feel my way home still laughing take care all xxx

The saying goes “you should have gone to Specsavers” and you did! Made me smile but good news about your sight.

Take care Christina. Xxxxx

Well you couldn't see well enough which is why you went in the wrong room. Perfectly understandable. They should be used to that. Glad the news is encouraging.

No problem with Specsavers here in Eastbourne. I have had to return on a couple of occasion and things have been sorted immediately and with good grace.

My dad had same problem after cataract surgery. Laser surgery to fix issue takes literally seconds to do.

Ah, a comedy sketch in the making there! That gave me a laugh to start my day with!! I bet the optician will dine out on it too. Glad to know you saw the right one in the end and they can do something to improve your vision.

I had my eye lasered some time after the procedure . They told me that cells left behind continued to grow attached to the new len s and they lasered those cells to give vision through the hole. Dont know how true that was ! But the wait was worse than the actual event. Brilliant, what can be done now.

Yes, I had that problem and corrective procedure also. It IS amazing what they can do! Your story gave me a giggle!

I had laser treatment too, very effective. I also had an eye test last week with Specsavers home care service, very good. I am now waiting for my new specs, which will be posted to me. I’ve been to Specsavers for years with no problems.
