The landlord of a very popular pub was enjoying the company of a fine body of patrons when a coach drew up outside somewhat out of the blue. A crowd of people dressed in football strip and carrying white sticks got out and came into the pub. They said they were from a college for the visually impaired about one hundred miles away but had heard good things about the pub, such as the excellent beer and the large field out the back. They asked if they might play football for a while out there. The landlord was a little startled and asked how they could. Easy was the reply we have a ball with bells on and we follow the noise of the bells. In due course the cries of 'to me' 'to you' and the sound of the bells could be heard. But the joyful sounds changed to those of pain and anger along with an increase in the noise of the bells.
A chap came rushing into the pub and said to the landlord 'You had better come quickly the footballers are kicking the daylights out of the Morris Dancers.'
