Hi there elanaoali - not too sure we've met before on the site.

Well I'm in south London area,in borough of Kingston upon Thames and at 0700 hrs,the snow was falling at quite a rate then. It did settle but by lunchtime had all gone but the wind was so bitter,it literally took my breath away. Not the best time for any lung sufferer's to venture out!

Tomorrow is meant to be no snow but a chill factor in the region of -8ยฐ. Freeeeezing!!!

Keep in the warm.

There hardly is any there, perhaps time to add some wheels to your snowboard, you can always say it is a large skateboard. :)

if you ever swear at me again and use the word snowboard i will never talk to you again! What bit of your head can't get around the name SKIschool :) x

2greysโ€ข in reply toskischool

The bit that says brrrrrr, I don't want to know. We had snow at lunchtime thank you and it cost a taxi fare as opposed to bus fare. you can stick both your skis and snowboards up your jumper.

edit.......... and that includes your in-line skates.

i thought you all travelled in taxi's on the southern Riviera, you lot need a few snow drifts to toughen up. :)

Yes water taxis, it all melted on contact. early am is when we MIGHT get some, 10 miles radius around Southampton that is. What we had a couple of weeks ago was a rare exception, twice in one year, not in my memory of 40 years living here. Personally I'm looking for warmth,

it has been a long, cold winter, in my workshop

We have snow around Manchester with strong winds with more snow to come. Did a little shopping yesterday to make sure we don't run out of bread etc. Can't wait for it all to clear. Can't even visit my son in hospital , he is in a physio rehabilitation centre not far from the Pennines and it's even worse there. Need some sunshine to make us feel better with the temperature above freezing.

I woke up in the middle of the night to see everthing outside my window covered in snow , and it's even thicker this morning, in the North East Midlands.

Where is Spring ?

A couple of inches here, wow twice in one year! I don't know how Sharon is going to get to work today. I doubt the buses are running nor the taxis, she left 30 mins ago, expecting her to walk back through the door at any moment. A 3 mile walk in the snow, I think not.

edit: She managed to get a taxi.

I am near Bournemouth. We had snow showers yesterday and some overnight. Roads looks icy rather than snowy. Snowing now and settling. I hate the stuff and not good for our lungs.

elanaoali profile image

Bristol here is a picture of white I know snow isn't good for our lungs I've had such a hard week with my asthmaab but it won't stop the child within enjoying it as much as I can. Stay warm and stay in if you need to. :-)

Snow on and off all day yesterday, and a covering this morning in south Cheshire - unusual as normally we escape the snow.

breatheeasy1 profile image

We are central South coast here and a reasonable covering...certainly enough for the children to play in! Though I'll be watching from the window with a cup of tea in my hand ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Oh yes ! Started yesterday afternoon, some really blizzard type showers interspersed with sunshine, quite weird. Itโ€™s been snowing most of the night and itโ€™s still coming down, albeit more gently. We now have about 4 inches and it doesnโ€™t look like itโ€™s going to stop any time soon. I thought I might actually get out in the car this week. Iโ€™ve been quite ill over the past few months and not really been anywhere except hospital and doctors. Just beginning to pick up a little, although still got the remnants of a chest infection, and thought if spring on the way ( as should be ) I might be able to have a run out. Ah well, just have to sit in warm and watch out the window, it does look beautiful. Wow ! Just realised how long this post is, I do tend to ramble a bit, apologies if Iโ€™ve bored you. Hope everyone manages to keep warm and stay safe. XXX

Already have it here in the Midlands about three inches and drifting with the wind. Looks pretty but not for going out in. minus 7 feel for tomorrow. I'm keeping busy indoors doing odd jobs around the house safer than venturing out. Stay warm & try to keep well

Here in North Devon it has been snowing since 2 o'clock and we have at least another six inches since last night. Husband drove into town while the roads were still clear and just managed to get some supplies before they closed early and sent the staff home. The restaurant on site is closed tonight. Even I can't manage on a biscuit and a cup of tea and I don't eat much! Husband would starve!

Thanks for all the comments it must have been one of the longest posts. Didn't even go outside once just watched my family have fun. I have been guinea pig watching. Their hutch is full of snow so in the conversatory. Too hot for them in the house.

Don't know if we get any more snow. The weather forecast keeps changing with% of actual snow showers a debate between met office and the beeb. All will be revealed tomorrow. I hope everyone stays safe and if your out tomorrow do the scarfie.
