So washing, ironing, getting my case ready to go to the eye hospital on Tuesday, putting the eyedrops in. My eyes feel sandy! I liked the previous drops better..well Iโm never happy with eyedrops, or glasses for that matter..
So the right weather for an eye op..
Iโll be off the forum for a while..
Donโt go and worry now. Everything will be just fine!
I can relate to the sandy eyes feeling having suffered from "arc eye" from welding in the past, it is not nice at all. Good luck at the hospital, we will be waiting on your return.
Hi Anne. ๐Glad to have you back. Been leaving you in a bit of peace, if not comfort. So sorry. Thinking of you. Pm me when youโre ready for a gossip or similar. Love ๐๐บ๐ท
Yes! My last reply to you interrupted by a knock on the door. A beautiful bunch of tiny roses from Matt, my number 2. He's grown up and rich (ish) now. It happens, you'll see!! And he's remembered I can't do lilies or anything extravagantly perfumed this time!! ๐ That's my boy! Hope you're getting lots of cuddles and homemade cards from your little ones ๐๐ I used to love that version! ๐ Good luck, Anne, speak very soon. Keep up the cranberry and apple juice, if poss. Oh how long are you going to be away from us Fran??๐ค๐ฎ๐ต๐โฃ
For gods sake woman, shut that door,to much fresh air,we don't want you turning up at the hospital with a cold.i am sure you will be keeping one eye(have you a good one)on us while you are away.Enjoy your day and of course Iris's poem which is a sure sign it's Sunday.
Your view through your doors looks very similar to mine only itโs raining here and too cold to have the doors open. My husband has a love hate relationship with eye drops. He usually takes on drop twice a day to stop a build up of pressure, but he had a cataract op on one eye about ten days ago so now has to put six drops and four drops in twice a day!
Good luck at the eye hospital. Iโll miss your photos, and the little โchatsโ we have.
Thank you for your kind words Helen ๐I empathise with your husband!! I find it difficult to focus and I havenโt had the op yet. Putting a lot of drops in already! Wonโt be able to use my varifocal glasses anymore..I will have the cataract op and implants which should partly improve my eyesight so weโll see. I have my magnifying glass for emergencies ๐
He has varifocals and can see quite well with his glasses. He is thinking of taking the lens out of one his pairs of glasses to wear inside. He canโt wear it outside because his glasses are also photochromic! Hes been told not to have a sight test until heโs had the second done, but hasnโt had a date for that op yet.
Awful not to have his appointment for the second one! Mine is 2 weeks later.
What is photochromic? Is it Transition? My glasses go darker in the sun. Even with that protection I got cataract.
The specialist said they would give me a temporary prescription but it takes 2 months for a full recovery on both eyes, so I went to the optician to get those special after cataract sunglasses, they darken as you go out because you get more sensitive to light.
Good idea to take the lens out, I was thinking of sticking something on my right lens while the eye heals, but then I could at least see from my left!!
So the optician said I only would only pay for the glasses once even if I have to have different lenses, it is a special deal. So that was good news, I was looking in my old pairs of glasses for a frame I could reuse for now!!
They are transition lenses he has at the moment. He was supposed to go back on Wednesday to check up on the new lens and then get an appointment for the second lens - it was supposed to quite soon after the first one, but now the surgeon is off sick, hopefully back next week!
Ah ok..I understand..I hope he recovers soon so your husband can get it over with. The hospital phoned me this afternoon I got scared I thought it was to cancel๐ but it was to ask me if all was well and I would keep my appointment!
She said I could have a light breakfast as they wouldnโt operate until the afternoon. I was glad as I didnโt fancy taking my steroids without food.
