It seems things are looking up for Aria and Bea. I certainly hope so. She said the pool is a real disappointment, one of those prefab minute things. It is 36 degrees but the stone cottage is cool inside. That’s a problem with booking on those websites..
Well I had the secondary cataract done in the right eye yesterday. Eye surgeon put numerous eye drops, a sort of glass magnifying lens in my eye, laser shot me at least 6 times, washed the eye profusely with serum and told me to take a seat for 30 mn. Then he checked the eye pressure, gave me a box of eye drops one a day for 4 days and paracetamol if needed. I took a tablet last night because it gave me headache more than anything else.
It is less swollen this morning and I realised he’s going to have to do the left one now because it seems all opaque compared to the right one!
Well I have to go back next Wednesday so I will ask him to check the left eye.
So I’m exhausted, don’t know why, it wasn’t a big deal, must be the journey to the hospital etc..I’m going to do absolutely nothing today, I am delighted to be back in bed after breakfast 😉😊😃
Glad the Op went well Fran. People do seem to need both eyes done, from those I've spoken to. Yes, it's always nice to leave Hospital isn't it? Have a good rest-up today. Rainy here which is a nice change from heat of, Yesterday. 😊✌️🌻
There is a woman screaming in the room next to mine, I said what is going on, they said she has dementia she screams once a day when we wash her etc..if not she is deaf so we put you there so your nebuliser doesn’t disturb her at night. Well thank Humanism for small mercies..😉
I can see better so I can type but I will rest it now I put the once a day drop in and listen to the radio 📻 !!
Oh happy you made me feel sad for the screaming lady,we are so fortunate that our marbles are still rolling in the right direction and the suffering of others gives us some perspective in our lives, don those headphones but perhaps share a cup of human kindness with her if you get a chance.
Sorry to make you feel sad 😔 .. yes earphones..I don’t want to interfere you know, I went out to fetch someone..they are kind nurses here so I thought maybe she was calling out for help but the care assistants were already in there with her.
Anyway that’s what happens in nursing home my dear friend, you have to take the rough with the smooth..
Maybe I will see her at mealtimes but I doubt she comes out of the room. I have a tray in the evenings myself, you know how lazy I can be! Trying to build up some strength for the weekend football 😂 I have to eat my proteins..
I’m so glad all is well with your repaired eye so far. Yes, rest must be the order of the day....I think you’re right about the legacy of travelling...at our tender age!! 💁🏻♀️
But maybe a bit of relaxation going on after the build up to the op day....?? Whatever, put your feet up now.
I’m not sure if reading will be the best thing yet, so be careful, perhaps get your headphones going and listen to the radio, an audio book or something 🎧 🎭 🎼restful.
Thanks for letting us know you’re ok....I’ve been wondering. Good to see Aria venturing forth on her hols....she’s looking very well, as Skis says, after her tummy problem. Love to you, my friend, 💛💙❤️
Hi Fran, I'm so pleased the eye op went well and you've a restful day today 😊. Stay in that bed, put on an audiobook or some music and relax...😊😪
Aria looks a lot brighter already! I hope she's feeling better, and I'm very pleased Bea is enjoying herself, even if the pool isn't quite what she expected 😉.
I’m going to go up to the dining-room, it cuts the day a little. I have been listening to Barbra Streisand and singing along 😃!
Yes Aria does. I don’t like to see animals suffering.
I think Bea is already feeling better eating all that fresh pasta they bought at the market yesterday, she said she bought courgettes and mint raviolis and ricotta and lemon ones! I said tell that to Jamie Oliver 😋😋
Hola y Buen Dia Fran, con un Ojo Mejor... I do hope that very soon you will have perfect Vision. Aria looks so Lovely and Cuddly, bet your missing them Both. Me Coche Nueva es Perfecto. "OOLA LA" Su Nombre es " Feliz", well. it couldn't be any other name. Abrazos y Besitos , Rest well my Friend. XXXX
I can see a lot more books being read when your eye has rested and healed. Enjoy the rest. Nice excuse to have your feet up! Sounds like a nice place you are staying. Take care.
I'm glad your procedure went well. Hopefully soon your eye will be better and the headaches too, and you'll be able to see much better. Aria looks gorgeous, I don't think I've seen a photo of her before, she's so big and cuddleable.
I hope you get plenty of rest. Enjoy your listening 📻
So many lovely photos of Aria! She’s very photogenic! Thank you for sharing. I’ve also been enjoying some of your landscapes and scenery 🌳 (I think that’s meant to be a tree, it looks more like a Brussels sprout)
Glad you’ve got one eye sorted. I’m sure they’ll do the other one if it looks milky. Area looks just like my cat, Martha. Sh is also black and white and quite curious. She is twelve years old and showing no signs of getting old. She loves nothing more than sitting on a shelf over the stairs, tormenting our two dogs!
No I had a look it doesn’t look milky.. but nor did the other one now I think of it I suppose it is because it is a secondary cataract I already have the implant and the lens inside.
Haha your Martha makes me laugh 😆
That’s what Aria needs a dog then she’ll treat us less like human slaves as would say @Skis!
Yesterday Martha almost drove me to distraction. I was at home on my own and was trying to get through to the dental hospital- I have been referred there by my dentist who’d tried unsuccessfully to remove a tooth. I was waiting in a queue, and I was slowly getting nearer to the front. At that point I’d got to 17 from 25. All of a sudden Martha appears and wakes up the two dozing dogs. Then begins a chase, led by her - in and out of the garden, round the coffee table and up and down stairs! You should have heard the noise! The puppy was so excited. Martha has so many places she can retreat to that the dogs can’t reach, but, no, the demonic look on her face told me she was thoroughly enjoying the chase! Not bad for a twelve year old rescue cat!
