Humming bird confusion

Poor little guy, after a big dump of the white stuff last night I have a confused little guy trying to drink probably frozen nectar! Humming bird pops 🙄

It's amazing how something so tiny can survive in cold weather - bet he'd like a drink of honey and warm water.

I do Skiis! Do u think I am heartless me love? Overnight it freezes though! Ill send a tix to you and Miss Scruffella to come and change the feeder every morning

Aw! Poor little chap! I remember being fascinated by these little birds when I used to be able to visit my cousin in North Carolina. She had a feeder hanging from the veranda roof. In fact your other photo also reminded me of the views from her house - breathtaking as she lived high up In the Blue Ridge Mountains and I have been lucky enough to see them through all the seasons.

I just found a feeder that attaches to the window by suction cups and has a small light bulb on the bottom that prevents water nectar from freezing up! Going to get one today
