Singing is a great activity to improve lung health. In this short film, meet our singing group in Colchester.
They're a lovely bunch of people from all walks of life who have one thing in common - they're living with a serious lung condition and some need oxygen. Have you considered singing for your lungs?
Singing provides them with a great social life, but also a way of managing their lung conditions. Some have COPD, some have bronchiectasis but all love singing!
I breathe in and sing the doh ra me scale as I breathe out holding the last note as long as is comfortable, If you are breathing right from the belly it helps you to take deeper breaths and I believe its good exercise for the diaphragm. Also helps with shifting gunk.
My group, Breathe Better Sing Together in Crewe, is visiting Macclesfield Breathe Easy group on Tuesday March 6th at 10.30 am. Do come along and join us for a taster session.
