Hello BLF friends💕

The Real Peak Practice is on again. Series 2. Up to date with medical cuts, local hospital closures, caring problems, the elderly etc I see. Looks like a good GP practice. I like how they manage to keep people at home. What worries me is how everything is measured financially..

Anyway it is a very wet for the second day, I put my trainers on, went to the village with scarfie and umbrella. It took me 40mn there and back and getting my papers. I order them you see so I don’t like little Lisa to waste her time and money.

She just had an eye operation for the x time so we chatted. She can’t keep the shop anymore and found somebody to take over.

It felt good going out for fresh air but now I am going to stay put!! 😃 There will be some football to watch this afternoon!!!

Aria is not considering going out either! She liked when my friend popped in with her angora rabbit on her way to the vet!!😻🐰

Hope the weather is better your way.

Have a nice Saturday x

Cute little bunny Fran, glad Aria wasn’t put out.

Stay in the dry now and enjoy your football. It’s lovely here and sunny.

Not sure how the Real Peak Peactice would compare with our surgery but I like to think they all do their best within the financial restraints.

Have a good day.

Love Carole xxxx 😀😘💖

Hi my dear Anne.

The encounter between Aria and Rabbit was funny 😄

Yes it did me good. Special waterproof trainers though for this area. So socks were dry. I buy them every two years because it’s the only shoe ware I use apart from party shoes 👠 😉 Jeans got soaked..I changed when I got in and put my jamas back on!!

Hope you slept well and are having a restful day 💕

Today is all about resting yes. Not much sleep last night...pacing and restless, felt ill. I was glad to see the Dawn 😉. Haven't managed food yet but its early days yet 💕💕

Hi Fran. 🌷 Good to hear your news as you potter about an hour ahead of us all in the UK 😀 Were just sitting here tidy, waiting for a house viewer...seems like a no-show though now ☹️ May not matter this time, hopefully, because we’ve had an offer, and put an offer on a possible new house yesterday. Very exciting! BUT we’ve been here four times before so still holding our breath!! Remind me never to try to move house again!! Oh the hassle!! We put in an offer on a new home yesterday, so fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞Ooh, viewers just arrived and seem interested. Lovely sunny day 🌼 so that helped.

Yes, ⚽️ football for us both later, though I’m still without a tv channel that shows it. New house??!

Have a good day 🌷🌸🌼 I liked the angora rabbit picture but took some working out at first! 🐇 We had a black rabbit, called George, once, who was given the run of the house! Long time ago!! 🐇🥀🍄🍀 Penny xx

in reply toYatzy

Hello Penny!!🌸

I hope your house selling and hunting will be successful!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

Ahhh it’s a pity you can’t watch your football game, so many sport channels these days it is getting ridiculous. I can see mine this afternoon but on Real-PSG night it was lucky Swiss national tv was showing it. Funny to have Swiss French commentary though. It was probably more objective that what I read in the French papers the next day!

Lucky George! Aria could have the run of the house but she is squatting by her croquettes dispenser!! Trying to tell me something 😃😋

Have a good day!! 💕

I love the occasional wet day to curl up and watch a film or read a book. Yesterday’s was sunny but cold here. We took our dogs for a walk and let the puppy off the lead for the first time. He had a great time. Today is grey but dry - so far!

in reply tohelenlw7

Hello Helen

Yes it was very wet here but I still went out as today I’m at the gym. I’m trying to build up my strength as I felt low this week.

I bet the dogs and the puppy loved it.

I felt bad leaving Aria this morning, she had her paws on my coat, I gave her a treat and as I left she took me to the front door! It broke my heart! Bea is back from Milan this afternoon so she won’t be so anxious.

I showed her her catflap in case she wanted to go out but she doesn’t like to use it. I said to Bea nor would I getting a slap on the bottom when I come in an out!! She paid a lot for it because it was for a fat cat or a little dog and it works with her chip. Then I had to have somebody install it. Well that is that I suppose.

She is a very sensitive cat for a 6 year old. My old tigs could leave me for days and not care while I was wondering if she had had an accident and Aria is a sensitive little thing.

So I went on the treadmill which told me I had been a good girl when I took my usb key out!! A pat on the back before lunch!!

Have a good day Helen xx

Well done for going to the gym. The most I can do is dog walking - three walks to get my steps in. I’ve had to stop swimming because it’s too painful on my ankles.

Our cat, Martha, has a cat flap that used to work with her chip. Unfortunately the cat who lives next door broke it by bashing it to try to get in! Martha is reluctant to go out in the winter - she’s had to have a litter tray inside, which I don’t like.

The dogs loved the walks. We’ve been to get compost from the garden centre - my oh’s job tomorrow is to plant up the hanging baskets with winter pansies - while I’m out to lunch with a friend!

in reply tohelenlw7

A pity for the swimming because being in the water is not so hard on the joints.. you could use some of those foam toys to support you..I don’t swim like a professional😃..on good days I swim brass..actually sometimes depending on how I feel I walk or I jog or I do arms and waist then legs another day..when my thorax was painful I did legs etc..I try to do 30mn. Today I went on the treadmill, I didn’t feel like getting in the water ..

Haha..it was so funny about the cat next door..yes we have had to put the litter tray inside with the cold and snowy winter..It is in the entrance toilet so I spray with essential oil spray that seems to do the trick.

Hope you have a lovely lunch and gardening day tomorrow xx

I can actually only do breast stroke - my shoulders are too painful for front crawl, and I’ve never mastered swimming on back. My problem is with the angle that my feet have to be in the swim.

in reply tohelenlw7

Yes breast stroke is what I do and you are right it affects the ankles, I have made up my own back breast stroke 😂 I am sort of rowing backwards..

I went to aquagym for years but it’s too fast for me nowadays I think.

I’ll hopefully get back to swimming. I’ve had two steroid injections so far, one which worked for four months but the second one didn’t work at all. Hopefully they will try one more because I really don’t want surgery! The hospital I got to for rheumatology and my lung issues is really good, but the Orthopaedic one is something else!

in reply tohelenlw7

Oh dear..he didn’t do it properly second time round..if they don’t hit the right spot it is useless..I had one in my shoulder a while back it worked. Are you having regular physiotherapy? I found that really useful with my rhumatoïd problems. I went twice a week for ages..

helenlw7 profile image
helenlw7

The first one was done by x ray but I opted for ultra sound for the second because the first one was as a day case in hospital, the second in out patients. I’ve had two very successful injections in my back, and quite a few in my shoulders that have always worked. If I get the option of a third injection I’m going to go down the x ray route again even though the dr I saw said it shouldn’t have made a difference. I’m waiting for a Drs follow up appointment and then I’ll have to wait another three months for the injection. It’s just so annoying! I haven’t had any physio.

in reply tohelenlw7

Yes waiting is awful when you are in pain..physio helped me with pain and mobility.. see if you can get on that waiting list too..I must say since I have been on daily steroids it is better but I have had to have a hot shower and my heating pad after the treadmill today, I will self-massage with my arnica oil from Weleda before I go to bed..it’s hard work but it’s worse when I don’t exercise..

I will. I’ll ask my gp. I find ice packs are best for me.
