PS to my bronchiestasis - and blood.
Hi Frustrated12 . Your post doesn't make much sense on its own. I would suggest you add the comment onto your earlier post instead.
Hi frustrated 12. I understand that the blood is not caused by the act of coughing. With bronch when you have an exacerbation this can cause usually small amounts of blood to be released from the lungs and it shows in the sputum. This should stop on its own as your exacerbation is succesfully dealt with. Some bronchs bleed more than others. Hope that helps
I thought slightly the less of my consultant at Papworth when she showed some surprise/concern at me mentioning that I had a first-and-only small trace of blood in my sputum during my last 6 month review. She is an Immunologist but attached to the lung defence team. Luckily being an avid reader of bronchX fora I was already aware this is not unusual and only in the 'worthy of note" (note 1) for the specialist category - more noteworthy if regular though I would imagine.
I think this forum is the one that converts a closing parenthesis followed by a quotes mark into a smiley? [At least on my screen once published]. If so the software engineers need to sort it. Apologies if I'm wrong and it's the other big bronchX forum that does that.
