Not a happy lady yesterday..3 objectives to reach for January 8th:

1. Eat proteins every night..that I can do

2. Raise my cardio between 90 to 100 when I am on my housebike, build up to 20mn

Well she must be joking I just peddled as a maniac for 5mn after 10mn warm up and I can reach 85, now I have to do another 15mn with wobbly knees 😃

3. Sort out my sleep problems!! Well by that stage I thought breathe deeply girl, do not get annoyed, smile sweetly, then wrote an email to my doctor, see if he can give me oxygen or something, I don’t know how to sort that one out...apart from keeping active all day and drop off from exhaustion, eating bananas, herbal teas and honey, taking sleeping pills..

Any ideas???

Anyway an update on the snow from Aria’s point of view 🌨🙀

It’s still there Aria!😀

No real ideas for sleep issues. Pete doesn’t sleep well either.

Wishing you well with everything Fran. Enjoy your day. Xxx 🎅🏻😴❄️😸

Happy,You could do as Aria does and sleep during the day.Though Bea will soon tire of your nightly exploits of climbing the furniture.

Embrace O2 if it gives you the ability to increase your metabolism without further breathlessness as it will also increase the O2 supply to your muscles.

A not very scientific skis and a less mobile cat x

I defo feel the 02 helps me but my levels drop so low if I don't have it .. it's such a shame as I came out of hosp beginning of March my usual self then suddenly was told i needed o2 24 hrs a day ... it's certainly an eye opener how much your body relies on o2 if your levels are not the norm so now I know what signs to look out for such as when I switch machines from say downstairs to up and put the nasal cannula on then after say 30 mins my eyes go blurry and I then realise i haven't switched the machine on ha so my o2 has dropped enough for my body to start reacting ...it's been such a life saver xxx bit of a pain when i go out and making sure i have enough cylinders with me as not to run out ...but again at least it helps me get out Fran but you seem to lead quite a active lifestyle and sound quite fit so maybe the o2 isn't needed yet fingers crossed xxxx

Thank you for the info Mel 💗my LAM sis

During l the day I can cope, my stats are good with the 4 inhalers I have but from 8pm Im a wreck, it’s boring..yesterday I was dropping off watching telly with Ventolin in my hand..and it does very little..

I have to find the courage to phone in next week if he doesn’t mail me back and get a phone call appointment because going to Lausanne again is a headache I must arrange transport..

He loves me dearly, he is a young enterprising pulmonologist, still works one morning a week at the hospital respiratory clinic but he doesn’t like meds and fast intervention..he is for the organic, ecological way..😃

I haven’t got time for that..he dishes me out Echinacea instead of antibiotics 😂. I told him I need my meds ok Im sick I need my beauty sleep..I mean there are 20 cases of LAM in the whole of Switzerland!! I must be his only case..so fight for me man.. because Im happy Fran, lippy on and always optimistic doctors think she’ll perk up you know.. well the nutritionist gave me a piece of her mind 😂 so I said forward the report I can’t make miracles!!

Well thank you for your support my LAM Sis so now I have to be more proactive and ask for O2 on Monday before they all close down for their Christmas hols hey..

💕 Fran

You go girl !! The o2 I feel may be ok in your case as they wud check your saturation levels and pulse rate each time u go ...I always thought when I saw people wearing oxygen that it was to help their breathing only it was only when I started on it myself that I realised just how much I rely on it to stay conscious..once I got what oxygen was actually for then I got how serious I needed to be regarding making sure i wore it and when to come off it here and there for little bit (minutes)usually as my sats drop ... but sounds to me like you hopefully may be ok xx x is it just your inhalers that's causing u problems at night is that cos ur breathless or dizzy or ??? If u don't mind me asking ?

in reply to

😊😊 Thanks Mel 💕

No it is the apnea causing me problem at night and my oxygen levels dropping to 80% so then I wake up choking and have to take more inhalers, then awake, herbal tea, back to bed, like every 2 to 3 hours..awake at 5 am, I stay in bed and meditate till 6.30 when the cat food timer goes 😃and I get up thinking TG the night is over and where is my Pred!

Ya might need a salt lamp to restore calmer former glory.

in reply to

😃thanks for the former glory Jeff..the other day it was oestrogen..euh do we have a problem?? 🤪

in reply to

Nit that am aware of ... I was looking at salt lamps other day and the say the great room antioxidents.

Wishing you well and that you will soon be feeling a lot better. Does Aria like to go out in the snow. 😼 ⛄Xx

No she’s hunting birds from behind the window making those little noises they do xx

They all have funny little ways, one of our little dogs surveys the garden to look for birds so he can can chase them. 😁 🐦 x

Am I reading your post correctly that you cannot get your heart rate above 85 when pedaling hard on an exercise bike? That seem really surprising.

in reply to jackdup

Shows how weak I am I think.. and I know I have from 60 to 70 usually. At night I can drop to 55.. I am going to work at it.. now I’ll also measure outside walking I think and see..blood pressure is also low in the mornings

Usually if a person is out of shape their heart rate goes up really quickly when exerting or exercising. Your muscles need additional oxygen when exerting so your heart speeds up to accommodate that need for extra oxygen. My heart rate when first waking up drops into the 40s quite regularily but is up over 100 when getting up and walking down the hall.

Ok thank you for that..Ive done my 30mn for years, swimming 3 times a week but I’m not pushing myself like she said..that’s why I went to pulmonary rehab I suppose I did one hour twice a week but everybody was sick there, I found it depressing and we had to use wipes on all the machines..I know I need that oxygen because my muscles burn..

in reply to jackdup

Ok started at 58 and went up to 88 for my five minutes at 32 watts
