If you type in air filter or air purifier in the search box on the top right hand corner of this page , some previous posts on the subject will come up.
I have two different air purifiers......one big and one smaller.
Maybe it's the purifiers with ionisers that may cause problems for some people, my larger one doesn't, but the smaller one has the option.
Don't get one that has ionizer built in the unit...I read that it's not good for people who has a respiratory illness, like asthma...etc.. I got rid of mine and got a hepa type filter. Run it on sleep mode while sleeping..keeps the air clean from dust/mites..... etc..
I run 2 hepa filters (because I keep parrots) and as mentioned with no ioniser, mine can be disabled.
11Ade,
Either ring the suppliers or better still contact BLF and speak with one of their nurses, they will likely know what to suggest.
