G'day Snoop..I reside right up in the Daintree, Queensland..I suffer COPD emphysema final stage (30% vol)...Diabetes 2..Depression..recently tested positive (bowel cancer kit) did colonoscopy... vaguely told all Ok? however told three different Polyp removal counts and type stories since procedure? vagueness stems from pre procedure Anaesthetist comments, he said I could drop dead any minute? and I was so bad ICU wouldn't admit me???? he suggested if cancer was found, consider no treatment, meaning...which will take me first? Surgeon said post procedure (patting me on the back) I'll never have to go through this again so now in hindsight, not sure if they're keeping things from me?

I can now see why Anaesthetists only normally deal with unconscious patients, Lol.

Thanks so much for the reply, I found reading other people stories has helped me cope, our healthcare system, drug names and treatments are so different, keeps you on your toes.

Shout out to Susan too, many thanks for listening...Chris

Hi Chris_Ogilvie Sorry I`m not Australian but I`m sure there will be a fellow Oz along. Just want to say welcome and to let you know that the beauty of the site is that no matter how far apart we are in reality we`re all one big family. Hope we hear from you often. Take care, Sheila xx

Yes he is.

Hi Chris, and welcome. There certainly are Ozzies here but not that many. Of course the time difference makes it harder for them. I’d say it’s mostly Brits & also Americans but one of our loveliest & most helpful members is Japanese. As Sheila says, what counts is our support for each other. There’s never any shortage of that.
