Who Would Believe it

Well was out saturday with mate not seen in a tad AND half way through the night BANG he drops a bomb shell AND starts panicking saying he can't BREATH :O

My blood drooped to my boots and i nearly had panic attack too.

By this time we are sat in me car HE's hyperventilating holding is chest SAYING he cant breath AND i am having panic attack or near ass.

Anyway I had to compose myself keep it together OR what a sight that would be.

Anyway i told him to cross is arms and start rubbing his shoulders then when he was warmer to rub his hands together AND start breathing in out of is hands TILL he's breathing become normal.

So i tried reassuring him THAT he could breath but he as to slow he's breathing down.

He was to wound up to use pursed lip breathing SO i give him blast of my ventolin WITH spacer.

Things seemed to settle down THINK. was more mind of mater than ventolin and i was talking to him AND he told me for past six months been having trouble with breathing MAINLY he cant catch is breath.

So i duly told him HE really needs to see he's doctor AND if he don't feel better when at home he needs to go AE hospital.

He told me that he cant do half the things he use to and feels quite useless SO i reassured him and told him thats what happens when you get old lol

Like we are not 18 but cracking on for 50 give or take a tad THEN he told me he had not even told his kid or misses but is getting harder to hide.

Again i told him your worrying over nothing AND you prob had asthma attack then panicked and nearly killed me with stress anxiety.

So again i told him to go hospital or doctors AS asthma dose kill if left and untreated.

Anyway am going to see is misses tomoz and make sure he go's and she aware AS i think its right thing tado.

As to ventolin I did not like giving him a blast BUT did talk about preventer his misses as with clear instructions to go AE if not improved AND to make appointment witb he's go asp.

I was quite surprised as he give up smoking 5 years ago TO see what sate he was in I always thought he would been superfit by now.

Well done Jeff. 😃

I’m sorry Jeff but I have a really black sense of humour. The picture of two blokes in a car, one panicking - the other slapping him round the heart and giving him a blast on the ventolin has just given me such a giggle. I’m glad that he came out of it ( probably as a result of having to control his breath to inhale the ventolin) and it was best that he had you with him who knows exactly how these things are. I hope that he does go to the docs and finds out what he is dealing with.

I think you have been a really good friend to him and I hope he takes your very sensible advice. Mind you, I agree with others that the sight of the two of you must have been quite something! All the best to you both, would like to hear how your friend gets on xx

It could be a lot of other things including a heart problem. I think he should definitely go to the Drs soon. A friend if mine, not fat, active , youngish, no heart disease in family was diagnosed after having trouble climbing the stairs on the underground. Always out if breath, and couldn't understand it. Could even be an allergy! All the Best.
