Hi everyone, dad has noticed that his breath isn't as fresh any more. Any ideas for a freshner?

He's been told it's all the rubbish on his lungs. He's stepped up his oral hygiene but to no avail, he's so self concious about this now as he never had this problem before. We've got him breath freshner sprays etc but he turns his head away when he speaks to people as he thinks that his breath smells. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Thank you, in advance.

Jane.

Hi Jane, there's something new on the market, I've seen it on tv. It's called CB12 and isn't particularly cheap. It apparently lasts 12 hours. You can get it at chemists. Try looking at Lloyds Pharmacy website, this is what it says there:-

"Neutralises substances and processes that cause bad breath.

CB12 prevents and treats bad breath by neutralising the malodorous sulphur gases in the mouth. The effect of CB12 is instant and provides odour-free breath for 12 hours.

Features:

• Prevents/treats bad breath

• Neutralises malodorous sulphur gases in the mouth

• Works instantly

• Effects last for up to 12 hours "

Just a cheapish suggestion raw parsley freshens the breath, but its not so easy to get as breath fresheners at the chemist.

I wonder if CB 12 might have chemicals which do the lungs no favours if they are already damaged. Just being devils advocate here!

Hi everyone, thanks for your answers. Our family tries to do things as naturally as possible and I've made a simple freshner out of filtered water and peppermint cordial. We looked into the CB 12 and it's about £10 a bottle! Plus Sylvsmum raises an important point. Thanks anyway.

Take care,

Jane. x
