Afib with copd.

Hi everyone, hope you all doing well. Just asking if anyone has atrial fibrillation? My heart rate 140 and trying to cough up but everytime I move it seems to get worse? X

Hi this lots with heart problems THINK it go's hand in hand with lung issues.

You noticed any swelling ARM's & NECK USALLY lung related ANYWAY if you feel something's not right I would go hospital TO get checked out at first instance.

I don't want to make you feel worse by going on about stuff might be SO just to be safe I would go

Hi Sarah, unless your heart rate is anywhere near 140 usually and I would be surprised if it is, because that seems very fast, then I would call the paramedics.

Do you get prescribed anything to bring your heart rate down like lorazepam or diazepam?

Morning all, went to A&E last night and was told that I had a chest infection also put me on a drip for heart rate which eased after a couple of hours. Ready to be discharged now and advice was to up my verapamil. Thank you all so much for replying. X

Hi Sarah I had AF I was taken into hospital and they stopped my heart and restarted it to regulate it, this was done under anaesthetic no pain at all, they said if that worked I would not need medication but unfortunately 3 weeks later I had another one. I have now been on 1 tablet of verapamil per day which has sorted the problem out must have been on it at least 15 yrs. you need to go to your GP ASAP as it needs sorting.

Have just returned after a 2 day stay in A&E. Same thing heart abnormally fast. My third attack in 6 years. No if or buts if your still the same straight to Hospital. Ambulance or someone to drive you. You wont have a heart attack but it is an emergency. Take change of clothrs toiletries etc just in case of overnight stay. But go now, now.

Ill give you all I know when your reverted.
