DWP Tribunal today.

sorry for the long post, it as been a while.

Morning everyone, not posted in a while, a lot as been happening. I have however been looking in now and again. Today is the day. My ESA tribunal, 2nd round. It was adjourned back in April due to DWP not sending the script of the assessment that they failed me on. I was not diagnosed with COPD at the time of claim. Probably was suffering from it though. As I was diagnosed in February this year. My monies got stopped a year gone September, when I was due to go into one of the two groups. I am passed being nervous about these interviews/ assessment s, everyone is different. My hubby Ian is coming with me this time, as he is best suited to tell them how I am at my worst. The claim is based on my widespread arthritis, not controlled at the time, pancreatitis, cardiac synopsis, meneire's disease, gout, carpel tunnel and plantar fascitis. Also the norm, IBS, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. Please pray for the correct outcome for me. I have no faith in the English justice system, so I'm not very optimistic at the moment. On the up side, since I posted last, I've learned that I'm going to be a nana again, not once, but twice, both being girls. I can not wait for the two princesses to arrive. My grandkids help me deal with life. If it wasn't for them I think I would just give up. I have now been assessed by the local council and our wellbeing team, who both state that when I end up in a wheelchair ( due to arthritis) , we will have to move house, as they say a ramp to my home is a no go. Now on the lookout for a new home. I'd rather get in now, so as to get it the way I want it, while I'm somewhat capable of doing it. My hubby and myself are now in separate beds, due to my sleep problems. I'm not happy about this, but it's only fair to him, he works shifts, and myself. We are looking for a two bed home rather than a one bed. Not long had a full lung function test, not had results yet, however, while there, they questioned my sleep pattern and say I am suffering from sleep apnea. Here we go again, lol. What's another nail in the coffin hey. They are going to do a sleep study some time in the future. In the meantime, they have me on Mirtazapine 15mg,s. A wonder drug, I'm now getting at least 7hrs sleep, without waking that I'm aware of. Well, better get ready for the day ahead. Thx for listening, have a great day.

Good luck for today's assessment. Hope everything goes the way you want it. If they want you to open a door or something, get your husband to do it.

Hope it goes well xx

Remember that they don't assess you on the long list of your conditions but on the amount of points that you can aquire in their tick box exercise. Basically, you need maximum help to do anything from showering to dressing. Your husband has to cook because you can't stand at the sink or manipulate jars and cans or have the energy to cook. Going out makes you anxious because of the difficulties which your disabilities give you in accessing places that you need to go to. Refuse to do anything except sit in the chair. It is a waste of your scarce energy. I hope you get the picture and good luck.

Good luck I will say a prayer you get all the benefit you should be getting , it's so unfair how a lot of people loose Dla / pip the new system is terrible . Our illness bring along with it so many hidden things that cause us pain mentally physically invisible to even our loved ones I feel anyone who is ill should get the help they need from government without having to go to face to face assessments it's hard enough going on the phone and filling out forms etc I really hope you get full benefit . Congratulations on being s gran again two beautiful little girls to welcome into the world 👏💞💞 x

Well thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers regarding my appeal today. In brief, it lasted two and a half hours. I was grilled about my past physical well-being. I answered honestly. I got rather upset, visably, when questioned about my incontinence issues. The doctor seemed to me, to be siding with me, and corrected the DWP on various pointers that was within their assesment of me. They stopped for a break when I was crying in frustration at not being allowed to answer their questions. I honestly could not say how it went, I was left feeling rather beaten and confused. I can do no more now. Just wait for the verdict. I do hope that it won't take a year for the verdict to come about.

Good luck with your tribunal and congratulations on becoming a Nana soon.

I'm not sure this will help but I read some where that the DWP have been instructed for people placed in the support group not to call them in for assessments I'm sure it was from the regular disability news letter
