Hi everyone

I'm new here and was diagnosed 5 years ago with copd and emphysema .

Does anyone ever have a very tight chest feeling ? I don't think I have an infection at the moment but I do get this feeling quite often.

Thanks

If you do not have an infection then it could well be you are coming into contact with an airborne substance. I can experience a tight chest around a lot of perfumes, smoke, and heavy diesel fumes. It could be anything that could do this to you, when it happens you will have to take note of what is around you, over time you may see a pattern emerge and be able to avoid whatever is triggering this reaction. Good luck.

Hi 2greys

Thanks , that would make sense as I travel on foot most days around the city .

Thanks again.

I get a very tight feeling in my chest from time to time with no obvious cause. I just assumed that it was part and parcel of having COPD.
