For those who followed my post a couple of weeks ago- I went on my cruise.
I saw a GP in an extended hours surgery I have never been to before and he said I was wheezy and gave me a stronger antibiotic and information to get the best out of my inhalers- simple really- take the reliever inhaler half an hour before the fostair to open your airways.
I didn't realise how bad I was until I tried climbing the stairways on the ship to our cabin. I would when fit be able to climb the stairs to deck 14 though be out of puff at the end; when we went to find our cabin I was literally on my knees by the 3rd flight of stairs. Found this scary.
Anyway it all ends well. I had a lovely cruise to the Canaries; enjoyed the warmer weather and am fitter now than at the beginning of the hol. My cough is still here but hardly noticeable.

Oh dear. My husband came back ill but I seem to be ok now.
I have never come back off a cruise ill but that's maybe because I am recovering from an illness at the start and we usually go to the Caribbean in February
This is the first time we have cruised at this time of year and from Southampton.
I seem to pick up illnesses on a return flight from Europe especially Belfast.
