Need your help again. Alan as been discharged from copd consultant which it great news. He as only 25 per cent lung function but is doing really well. Then the dreaded LPR rears its head. Continuous choking with acid in throat bubbling up even when eating. On ratinidine nexium gaviscon extra domperidine. I dread every meal just in case he chokes. Any ideas out there. Thanks

This is just terrible for him living like this every day I think I mentioned that I take lansoprisol capsules I was increased from one to two every day and have found them to be great, however my brother who also has the same condition was put on a stronger one called omprosol he was fine on just one every day but then he got a blood clot in his leg and was put on blood thinning tablets at the same time they increased the omprosol to two per day and all of a sudden he was falling around like he was drunk. Then one day he just passed out and we phoned the ambulance when he was taken into hospital the doctor new immediately that it was because of the combination both the blood thinners and the omprosol and he had to stop

Immediately as it had altered his blood chemistry and he wasn't getting any vitamins at all. If he wasn't on blood thinners one every day he was great but it just shows you it's not always checked what we are already taking. So it's a possibility that this particular capsule could be ok for your husband but make sure that they check what meds he is already taking, it would terrible to make him worse than he already is. I hope he gets sorted very soon though thinking of you both. Xx

Thanks for your prompt reply. We have had a Chemist out to the house through our matron . He checked all his meds and said he was on the right medication. He takes his nexium twice a day 40 mg in total. Thanks
